Apple has originated AppleCare+ service for Beats earphones, AirPods, and Beats headphones. The price of this is $29 and offers you a two years warranty from the starting date of purchase.
The affordable price of $29 comes with accidental coverage for two years. Apple also highlights that the AppleCare+ for Headphones involves repair or replacement for the earphones/headphones, battery, and included charging cables.
There is no obvious report regarding the charging cases of AirPods, and possibilities are that they are not included in AppleCare+. You can buy AppleCare+ from the near Apple store or through the website online by dialing the number (800) 275-2273 within 60 days.
AppleCare+ for headphones can be combined to AirPods and available Beats earphones/headphones within 60 days of purchase as well as with new purchases. With AirPods replacement and repair costs going up to $69 for just a single AirPod, this $29 security seems like a no-brainer. This service also includes software support about your pair of headphones. Apple wrote in the AppleCare Page that you could get access direct to Apple experts for issues on a wide variety of topics, including Using Siri, Bluetooth connectivity.
The AppleCare+ covered the following products:
- Powerbeats Pro
- Powerbeats3 Wireless
- Beats EP
- Beats Pro
- Beats Solo3 Wireless
- Beats Studio3 Wireless
Please keep in mind that this AppleCare+ for Headphones plan doesn’t cover theft or damage coverage. That means those who have missed an earbud in the subway, which seems to be a developing issue for the New York Metropolitan Transport Authority, would still have to buy a replacement. However, this is certainly a must-have option for users who are a little careless about their headphones. So, what are your opinions on this new AppleCare+ service?
